Background and Problem

FIREBird, developed by Lindsey Systems USA, is a groundbreaking wildfire detection system that revolutionizes the way wildfires are identified and addressed. With its advanced technology, FIREBird provides automatic notifications of detected wildfires, enabling prompt action to mitigate potential damage.

The primary objective of this project was to create a user-friendly dashboard that would enable system administrators to access critical information about potential wildfires swiftly. The dashboard needed to display a comprehensive overview of transmission lines, towers, and associated cameras, empowering administrators to confirm fire incidents and take appropriate actions promptly.

Solution

To achieve the project’s goals, a robust and intuitive dashboard was designed and implemented. The following key features were incorporated into the desktop and mobile applications:

  • Transmission Line and Tower Map: The dashboard provides administrators with a map displaying transmission lines and towers within their jurisdiction. This visual representation allows for quick identification of potentially affected areas and facilitates efficient monitoring.
  • Tower Information: Detailed tower information is available, including real-time status updates and weather conditions. Administrators can quickly assess the situation and prioritize actions based on these critical parameters.
  • Camera Views: The dashboard incorporates a 360-degree camera map, which allows administrators to access various camera views for comprehensive monitoring. Ground cameras, infrared cameras, and line cameras can be selected and switched seamlessly.
  • Latest Images and Timestamps: Administrators can view the most recent images captured by the cameras, complete with timestamps. This feature provides up-to-date visual information, aiding in the assessment of fire incidents.
  • Capture Photos: Administrators can capture photos of the current camera view directly.

The user-friendly interface, coupled with its advanced features, enables administrators to swiftly confirm fire incidents, assess risks, and take appropriate actions
